Registering a company is a simple process...
1. Choose a company name
The first step to setting up a limited company is to check if your desired company name is available. You can do this by typing the name into our company name search tool on our homepage. If the name you have chosen is already taken, you can modify it and continue using the search tool until you find a name that is available for use.
When selecting a company name, think about something that will best describe your business activities or perhaps the core values of your company.
We also recommend checking if the corresponding domain name is available for a company website. It is important that your website domain and company name match, as this will make it much easier for potential customers to find your business online.
2. Select a package
We have four standard formation packages for companies limited by shares; a package for setting up a company limited by guarantee; and a package for registering a Limited Liability Partnership.
Choose the package that is most suitable for your type of company and your specific requirements.
Proceed to checkout where you will have the option of adding some additional services to your basket before paying by debit or credit card.
After payment is made, you will receive a confirmation email of your purchase, login details to access our Online Company Manager and a receipted invoice.
4. Enter company details
This final stage requires 5 minutes of your time to complete your online company incorporation application. You will be asked to provide your registered office address and details of all company directors and shareholders/members.
For guidance on what you should have to hand, please read our Company Formation Checklist.
