Registering a company is a simple 5-step process...

1. Choose a company name

The first step to setting up a limited company is to check if your desired company name is available. You can do this by typing the name into our company name search tool which you can find on our homepage. If the name you have chosen is already taken, you can modify it and continue using the search tool until you find a good name that fits and is available for use.

When selecting a company name, think about something that will best describe your business activities or perhaps the core values of your company. We also recommend checking if the corresponding domain name is available for a company website. It is important that your website domain and company name match, as this will make it much easier for potential customers to find your business online.

2. Select a suitable formation package

We have five standard formation packages for companies limited by shares; an advanced Professionals package for issuing multiple shares and using bespoke Memorandum and Articles of Association; a package for setting up a company limited by guarantee; and a package for registering a Limited Liability Partnership.

Choose the package that is most suitable for your type of company and your specific requirements.

3. Additional Services

After selecting an appropriate formation package you will have the option to add some additional services to your registration. These services are suitable for all types of companies and LLPs.

Other popular items on our additional services list include a Free Lloyds or Barclays Business Bank Account, VAT & PAYE registration, Pre-Submission Review and Company Seal.

4. Checkout

Proceed to checkout and pay using a debit or credit card. You will receive a confirmation email of your purchase, login details to access our Online Company Manager and a receipted invoice.

5. Enter company details

This final stage requires 5 minutes of your time to complete your online company incorporation application. You will be asked to provide your registered office address and details of all company directors and shareholders/members. What happens next...

A member of our team will look over your application to correct any errors. Your application will then be sent to Companies House for approval.

Companies House usually take around 3 to 6 working hours to process a new company application, however, this is subject to Companies House workload, and sometimes it can take longer.

Once your company has been incorporated, we will send your company documents, VAT invoice and Webfiling Authentication Code to you by email. Also included, will be details regarding your Google adwords voucher and your free .co.uk domain name. If your order includes printed documents, these will be sent to you by post within 24 hours.

If you have opted for the business bank account referral, your chosen bank will contact you within 48 hours to arrange a welcome meeting at your local branch.
