Can I save my company formation application and continue later?

Our company formation process is split into 4 simple steps; Choose your company name, pick a package, make payment, and enter your company details. Your application is then ready to be sent off to Companies House for approval (where it can be accepted within 24 hours).

But what if you make payment and then decide you’re not quite ready to complete the formation? Can it be put on hold? Let’s take a look.

Not ready to form your company? Not a problem

Provided that you have all the necessary information to hand, the company formation process can be completed in a matter of minutes.

However, if you don’t quite have everything you need or you simply want to wait, that’s absolutely fine.

Saving your company formation information

As you work through entering the company information, we’ll automatically save the details that you provide – as long as you complete each section in full – so feel free to stop the process whenever you want. 

You can either select ‘My Account’ and then ‘Log Out’ from the top-right of the screen (recommended if you’re using a shared computer) or you can shut down the browser completely.

Picking up your company formation where you left off

Accessing your application again is easy:

1. Select ‘Client Login’
2. Enter your username and password
3. Select ‘My Companies’ 
4. Click on your company name to continue with the company formation

Your name isn’t reserved until your complete the application

Purchasing a company formation package with your chosen company name does not set the name aside for you. The only way to secure the name is to complete the application and have it accepted by Companies House.
